Spain’s two sets of island groups are the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands. The Canary Islands of Spain are situated off the Atlantic Coast of Africa, and are seven isles: Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, La Gomera, La Palma, and El Hierro. There are another set of islands that pertain to Spain called the Balearic Islands, which are situated in the Mediterranean Sea to the East of Spain. The main isles there are: Majorca, Ibiza, and Menorca, though there are smaller ones too: Formentera, Dragonera, and Cabrera. |
